CONCERTMASTER AUDITIONS 2026
The GUSTAV MAHLER JUGENDORCHESTER is holding auditions for the position of concertmaster, starting with the Summer Tour 2026. This position is designed for a duration of 2 to 3 years, details to be individually agreed.
Applicants with European citizenship who were born between 01.01.2001 and 06.08.2008 are eligible to apply for the position.
In addition to outstanding musical and technical abilities, applicants should have substantial orchestral experience, leadership qualities, and a high sense of responsibility.

AUDITIONS 2025-2026
The regular auditions 2025 for the GMJO tours and projects in 2026 have now been completed. All results have been published via the individual audition accounts. We thank all musicians for their participation.
Auditions for the GMJO tours in 2027 will take place in autumn 2026 in about 30 european cities. All information will be announced in time.
